Best gifts

So for Christmas a few months ago I made my wish list like I always do.

I never know who is getting me what. But I can assume it’s going to be something off my wish list.

There are always things on there that I REALLY want and other things that are just additional ideas for my family members.

Don’t get me wrong, I appreciate all and any gifts I get. The fact that so many people spend so much time & thought shopping for me & my family is an overwhelming feeling.

And I’m sure you’ve experienced this too… you ask for something & have such high expectations for it. Then once you get it & use it, you are totally bummed out. It’s not what you thought it would be.

I have to say that one of many of my awesome Christmas gifts was this Mix ‘N Chop from Pampered Chef.

I know! A $10 gift is what I’m writing about. Crazy! But it. is. amazing.

I use it often; anytime I’m making ground beef. Tacos are a favorite at my house, but I could never get the ground beef chopped up evenly. It always had big lumps. Not anymore :) This thing makes my taco meat look like it does in Mexican restaurants. No more globs of seasoning mix, because now the meat is broken up enough to mix in the seasoning. I just love it. Thanks Glenna for getting it for me!

My other “must have” in the kitchen is this little electric chopper.

Black & Decker HC306 1-1/2-Cup One-Touch Electric Chopper

Actually, the one shown here looks even fancier than the one I have. Ours was free with a Menard’s rebate. Thanks, Alex!! I knew all those trips to Menard’s would pay off.

If this thing ever breaks, I’m going out & getting another the same day. I use it almost everyday. It’s so easy to use & clean. It’s perfect for chopping onions & green peppers (into small enough pieces my kids don’t even know they are there).

Have you tried the Mix ‘N Chop or the little electric chopper? What kitchen gadget can you not live without?

Okay, we LOVE our mix-and-chop! But I have to tell you the BEST thing we got from Pampered Chef: it's this drainer that you put over the pot to pour the water out – so you never actually have to USE a strainer! One less thing to wash, which in this house, is a GOOD thing! It has seriously changed my life.

I love the Mix 'N Chop! I got it a couple of months ago after hearing rave reviews about it. Love it! I don't have the little electric chopper but I usually use my T-ware Quick Chef or my Kitchen Aid food processor( it has a small bowl attachment). Fantastic tools for the kitchen.

I've always wondered if the mix and chop worked. I think I'll go get one now. Sounds like it's well worth the $10 and great ideas on the ground beef. Happy Friday!

Jumped over from the SITS site. I must say I now want a mix n' chop. Probably because I want everything I don't currently have in my kitchen and because taco night is always a party at my house! :)

I really do love my Mix 'N Chop! My cousin sells Pampered Chef if any of you want to purchase something. http://pamperedchef.biz/stacylevin

I've wondered, too, about the mix 'n chop! Good to know. I made a long list of Pampered Chef things I want, and this is on it!

In the kitchen, I couldn't live without a garlic press or the PC food chopper: http://www.pamperedchef.com/our_products/catalog/product.jsp?productId=240&categoryCode;=CE

Mine is 10+ yrs old now and still going strong!

Good tip on the mix 'n chop. I have a 200 gift card to use up from PC. This is going on my list.

I also love their meat tenderizer!

Thanks!

I can't live without a salad spinner. Use it almost every single day, and who doesn't like clean dry lettuce???
