How to clean your room

… if you are Princess Morgan.

Step #1. Stuff two sleeping bags between your desk and wall instead of putting them away.

Step #2. Hide clothing under your dresser.

Step #3. Throw anything you don’t feel like putting away on the floor of your closet.

Step #4. Don’t put away a stack of clean clothes.

Step #5. Hide more clothes, clean OR dirty, between your dresser and wall.

Side note: Two hours after taking these pictures, Morgan’s room looked exactly the same.

I told her to at least put away the stack of clean clothes that had been sitting there for 7 days.

I went back into her room and found that stack of clean clothes in her hamper!

This girl sure makes life interesting.

Good idea. I failed to mention the books I found in her bed under the covers. She kills me.

That is when it all begins. Their creativeness to clean. My daughter is 15 (soon) and still has no concept of cleaning her room . Good luck with the training. I don’t dare show you her room it is to embarrassing. lol

So there’s no hope for her, huh? LOL! She does get an A+ for cunningness.

I wash clothes that i am 75% sure are just been washed and folded and we didn’t feel like putting away, all the time. My two girls also had a BIG fight over who was going to put 2 towels in the hall closet because one of them says that she “always does it”. Seriously?! I am so glad your daughter’s clean room resembles a neater version of my children’s clean room… under the bed and the closet are fav hiding places here too. Oh and “i don’t know where that goes” or “it doesn’t have a spot” are two favs also.

Sounds like my kind of girl! When I was a kid I would stash things. I got really creative at it. I remember throwing toys in a pile and throwing a blanket over them. I would even set one teddy bear on top of the blanket to try and make it look pretty. Hmmm come to think of it I did just throw a blanket over top of a clean pile of laundry in the recliner. I guess I haven’t changed much. If I can’t see it, it’s not there!

AdrienneMay – I hear those excuses all. the. time. I constantly tell Morgan, “Don’t just put it down somewhere; Put it away – where it belongs.”

Rachael – I love it! I’m no neat-freak either. I get used to things being out & just stop seeing them there.

LOL… my eight year old informed me the new terminology is… “re-design your drawers” instead of “go put your clothes away”. It seems to work on girls who like to ‘arrange things’.

LOL I feel your pain! Every few weeks, I make my kids take everything out from under their beds. It’s amazing what kind of crap they hide under there!
