In case you haven’t heard, as of March 1, 2012, Google is shutting down Google Friend Connect widget service to all non-Blogger users.
(If you don’t know what that is, the Google Friend Connect widget is that thing on my sidebar that says, “Follow The Haglers. Join this site.” It’s the easiest way for people to follow most blogs.)
That stinks, since I am not a Blogger user.
Google recommends I tell you to follow me using Google +. Of course they would, right? Google + is catching on like FaceBook, I guess.
Buuut, I’m not jumping on that band wagon just yet anyway. I don’t even have a Google + account, so that suggestion won’t work, huh?
So my recommendation is to simply type your e-mail address in the box under, “Never Miss A Thing. Get updates by e-mail.” You will get an email when I publish a new post. That’s it.
OR you can click on that RSS button under “Stay In Touch” (the one on the left that looks kind of like sound waves) & follow those directions.
I’ll keep a little sticky post at the top of new posts for a while to keep you reminded.

Okay, I heard this as a rumor. But now it’s really happening? So when I post something my followers will no longer receive it in their reader? Oh, crappity crap crap.

Yep, it stinks. GFC going, that is. And, like you, I don’t have a Google + account, so that won’t work for me… I am not sure if I follow you through RSS or GFC, so I’m off to subscribe to your RSS Feed, just in case… (I’m thinking I follow through GFC…) Hate to miss your great blog!

From what I know, it is true. But I’m not signing up for Google + account… that’ll show ‘em! lol.
