As you know by now I really, really like Pinterest.
I should go around the house & take pictures of all the things I’ve made that were inspired by Pinterest.
Anyway, I pinned these slipper socks last week, and I haven’t stopped thinking about them since.
So yesterday I was able to get around to trying this little project!
I followed her instructions as best I could. The bit about finding the center & folding lengthwise still confuses me. I just ignored it. Heh, heh.
I also added an extra layer of fleece to the base to give me a little more cushion. I considered putting an old pair of flip flops, minus the straps, in between the base layers, but I must of thrown mine away.
The other tweak I made was that I used some of my extra PUL fabric on the bottom. (I normally use it for the backing on the travel changing pads because it’s waterproof.) I love it! It adds some grip when I walk on my tile floors & cement basement floors.
So now I have super comfy sock slippers! They are great because they keep my feet warm on my cold tile floors; they stay on when I curl up on the couch (not like my usual slippers), and they fit perfectly!
*Just as I snapped that 1st picture, Morgan said what I had been thinking all day, “You look like Donald Duck.” Obviously I don’t care. These things are awesome!
